Duke of Edinburgh adventures!
At the end of June, some of our Year 9 and Year 10 pupils took part in the Duke of Edinburgh Bronze qualifier expedition in Wrightington.
This involved spending two days being largely self-sufficient while carrying all their equipment in their hiking backpacks, navigating the Lancashire countryside, cooking their meals on camping stoves, and camping overnight.
We couldn't be prouder to have had our young people described by the activity provider as "one of the most respectful groups we have ever had!"
All our groups completed the expedition successfully, showing such resilience and determination, even when utterly exhausted. What a fantastic achievement! We can't wait to see what they achieve next!
