The Salesian Academy of St John Bosco

Careers Inspiration Across School

At The Salesian Academy of St John Bosco, we are committed to providing the best possible careers education or all our pupils, so that everyone feels prepared for life beyond school and fully aware of all their options and choices. This term, year groups have experienced exciting visits to find out more about university life and apprenticeship options.

Our Year 9 pupils had an incredible day exploring the vibrant world of higher education on their visit to The University of Liverpool. They toured the campus, experienced a lecture from The School of Law and Social Justice Professors and engaged in an interactive workshop.

They also enjoyed hearing from pupil advocates who told us how much they loved university life. This trip opened their eyes to future possibilities and careers in Law and Social Justice, motivating them to dream big!

On 23rd October 2024, our Year 8 pupils had the amazing opportunity to explore Edge Hill University. The campus tour was a real eye-opener, showing them what the future could look like if they continue to work hard. We were so proud of how curious and engaged our pupils were.

Our pupils also had a fantastic time at the National Apprenticeship Show at the Exhibition Centre in Liverpool - there were so many opportunities for our Year 11 cohort to talk about their potential futures.

This was an amazing chance to engage, face-to-face, with some of the regions top apprenticeship employers and providers and all pupils made the most of it.
