Celebrating VE Day 80
Classes across our school marked the important celebration of the 80th anniversary of VE Day yesterday with lots of exciting events.
From pupils exploring the important historical event in their History lessons, to making carrot cakes in Food Technology, everyone had a fantastic time. Mr Lloyd, dressed in a traditional WWII soldier's uniform was on hand to answer all of pupils questions about the day.
Pupils were treated to a traditional British lunch of scouse or mince pie, and staff shared a traditional Afternoon Tea during their breaks.
In English classes pupils wrote speeches to celebrate the ending of World War Two.
